About the Vicegerent Bureau

A Vicegerent is a commissioned constitutional peace officer acting under delegated sovereign authority. The term “Vicegerent” signifies one who governs or acts in the place of higher executive authority for the limited purpose of preserving law and order.

Vicegerents are functionally equivalent to law enforcement officers (“police”), but their authority is constitutional rather than statutory in origin.

Core Responsibilities

Vicegerents are responsible for:

  1. Peace Preservation
    Maintaining civil order and preventing breaches of the peace.

  2. Law Enforcement
    Investigating violations of national law and taking lawful enforcement action.

  3. Protection of Persons and Property
    Ensuring safety within the jurisdiction of the Republic.

  4. Lawful Arrest and Detention
    Conducting arrests consistent with constitutional safeguards and due process.

  5. Public Safety Operations
    Responding to emergencies, disturbances, and threats to security.

  6. Coordination with the Marshal Bureau
    Assisting in execution of warrants, court orders, and institutional protection.

  7. National Defense Support
    Acting in support of internal security functions as constitutionally authorized.

Authority and Jurisdiction

Vicegerents operate within the territorial and subject-matter jurisdiction defined by the United States of America Republic Constitution and national law.

Their authority includes:

  • Protective authority during public assemblies or official functions

All authority must be exercised within constitutional limits and subject to oversight.

Oath and Commission

Each Vicegerent must:

  • Receive formal written commission

  • Take a constitutional oath of office

  • Pledge loyalty to the Republic and its governing charter

  • Affirm commitment to lawful conduct and integrity

No Vicegerent may exercise authority without valid commission and oath.
